Opportunity

Bulk Connection, a leading third-party freight brokerage that specializes in bulk freight transportation, is looking for a new Bulk Freight Logistics Manager to schedule and manage our customers’ bulk freight shipments.

This large network supports the shipping needs of companies large and small that need bulk materials shipped across the US and Canada.

About the role

• Located in Mystic, CT. In-person position.
• You will act as a problem solver, connecting shipper needs with carrier capabilities to book/manage bulk freight loads from start to finish. This means identifying opportunities while consulting with shippers, finding a carrier with capacity in that lane, negotiating with carriers to move the freight, working with both parties to cover all details, and then managing the load as it moves from loading to unloading points.
• Strong listening and problem-solving skills required. A customer service background is helpful.
• Ability to work well with others required.
• US geography knowledge helpful but not required to start.
• Transportation experience and knowledge (e.g., types of bulk tanks and trailers, equipment) helpful but not required to start.
